The parliamentary standing committee on ministry of post and telecommunication at a meeting on Sunday asked the government to take steps to set up ‘call centre villages' as call centre business will be a booming business only next to garment sector.
The meeting chaired by its chairman Hasanul Haque Inu listed some important areas where the government should lend helping hand to provide easy loans to people to promote the business.
The government should also take steps to provide training to young people to generate employment, besides promoting management officials.
The committee suggested that local and international call centres be set up at one location without keeping them apart.
It also discussed ways and means how the impediments to development of this sector could be overcome.
